UPDATE (6/8): After speaking with a member of LeSean McCoy's foundation, I have learned Shady's annual community day has been canceled. I have been told another event -- taking the place of this one -- could be held later this summer, but no firm plans have been made yet.

Running back LeSean McCoy is holding another community day in Harrisburg.

The event, the third of its kind, is Saturday, June 9 at Reservoir Park (intersection of North 21st Street and Walnut Street).

McCoy attended Bishop McDevitt High School.

The community day is free and is open to all families and includes carnival rides, a Madden video game tournament, face-painting and a karaoke contest. Past community days have been attended by many of McCoy's Philadelphia Eagles teammates, as well.

Food and drink is free, as well.

Gun control has become an overwhelming focus of many in the U.S.  Pro-gun supporters say guns aren't the problem, people are; while anti-gun proponents say eliminating guns will eliminate most crime and violence.
