Just cancelled my subscription. Their magazine is "dead in the water" and they are trying anything to sell magazines. That "big" cover story was all of two pages, just regurgitating the same Media trashing with nothing new to add. Frank Deford would roll over in his grave...if he were dead

This is horrible and tasteless....if you think that a cover like this is in any way going to help any of the victims of this tragedy, you are fooling yourselves! What this will do is to continue to stir the media frenzy. All of the so called journalists who have been constantly reporting about the scandal that has rocked PSU are stating the University, including staff and students who had nothing to do with this situation, must start fresh and be part of the solution to the culture that exists in society today. Well, maybe if the media would practice what they preach, we could start to do that. In the mean time, I will be calling to cancel my sports illustrated subscription (lifelong subscription holder) and will be encouraging everyone I know to do the same. Here's a thought, why don't you stoop even lower and have your next cover be that of the Sandusky victims who testified in court!!!!!!

Disgusted with the Sports Illustrated "We Were" cover. Not only is it a slap to the face of all of us who gained a wonderful education at PSU and to the hours I spent standing raising money for kids with cancer and to the great friendships and memories I created, but it is degrading to so much more. The history of the chant We Are... Penn State stems from the 1947 football season. Southern Methodist University did not want Penn State to play their 2 African American players in the Cotton Bowl. They wanted to schedule a meeting to discuss this. Steve Suhey, a white player, responded in solidarity with the Aftican American players, white players, and university as a whole as he said "We Are Penn State. There will be no meetings." The first African Americans played in the Cotton Bowl that year because of the solidarity of the Penn State family. This is the kind of solidarity we talk about when we say We Are. It isn't just a football chant. It is a lifelong commitment to join together, be one, and stand together for Dear Old State and the good it represents. So try and further ruin our reputation and kick us while we are down, but no matter what you say or do, We Are, and always will be, Penn State!

They have crossed a line. This is totally disrespectful of past and current students. Good, tasteful journalism is hard to come by these days...

Gun control has become an overwhelming focus of many in the U.S.  Pro-gun supporters say guns aren't the problem, people are; while anti-gun proponents say eliminating guns will eliminate most crime and violence.
