Heads-up for Steelers fans: Nov. 25 game vs. Browns will not be shown locally

Due to the fact this television market (Harrisburg-Lancaster-York-Lebanon) is designated a Ravens "secondary market" -- based on our proximity to Baltimore -- CBS 21 must air Ravens' games when the team is on the road, per NFL broadcast rules.

This is becasuse the station manager Holley Steuart is nothing more than a chicken. Baltimore is on at 4:15 so this is her excuse. So this chicken airs a one star movie. I just wish I knew how to get the game in if you know what I mean. Just how much money are you making today Ms. Steuart? Just how much money could you HAVE made if you aired the Steelers game. Complain to Sandy Depasqule this is the guy that runs Newport Broadcasting. With the money subscribers pay and all the money networks make off of that BS retransmission consent people should demand the game be broadcasted. You wouldn't believe the money networks make off of retransmission consent. You think this is bad. Back in the last week of March Tribune Company had a battle with Directv over fees. The thing that was wrong was the fact the person that runs Tribune Eddy Hartenstien was the person that founded and was the ceo of Directv. So I am sorry if a person wants to watch a game they should be allowed to. Just because CBS 21 has a chicken for a manager. This thing with a seconday market is bull S plain and simple. Stop making excuses Ms. Steuart and start showing the Steelers Games. I feel the local networks will be sad when they are taken out of the loop with the advent of the SMART TV. You know the HDTV's with the network adapters. People are canceling their cable and watching the stuff on Hulu or Netflix. For me alone to go to a game I bet that would be over $400 if it stopped at that. And I would have nose bleed seats at that.

Just because they do this...doesn't mean I HAVE TO LIKE IT...I think it REALLY SAD that a STATE TEAM that won all those Championships over 40 Years with as children and now as grow adults we have to resort to "Plan B" to watch 1 of our 2 State NFL Teams. And THEN the NEXT STATE'S Team ia aired... Really, really stinkin' SAD!!!!! In all honestly...that's why I don't watch your local news programs either. I have options...and I know it's not your faught. I guess life isn't fair...it is? Merry Christmas everyone....gotta turn my radion on now...

The only way to combat this is to make sure you watch the Fox game. If the Ravens game ratings are rock bottom in central PA for long enough maybe the NFL will stop trying to artificially create Ravens fans.

I understand why this happens but never makes it easier to take. I guess I will be headed to a sports bar to watch the game. I certainly won't watch the Ravens. How long will the NFL continue to try to shove the Ravens down our throat? Steelers have the number 1 ranked fan base and the Ravens somewhere around 18 in the league. Maybe if the Ravens continue to not win the big one their fans will lose interest and maybe the NFL will quit trying to prop them up by forcing central PA to miss Steeler games.
