"A Memorial for Joe" will be carried on national television, Penn State University has announced.

Thursday's memorial service at the Bryce Jordan Center will be carried live by Big Ten Network and will also be streamed at www.GoPSUsports.com and BTN.com.

The service will begin at 2 p.m. The family gave no details on who might be invited or asked to speak at the memorial Thursday at the basketball arena, which can hold 16,000 people, according to The Associated Press.

Public viewings are scheduled for Tuesday, Jan. 24 from 1:00-11:00 p.m. and Wednesday, Jan. 25 from 8:00 a.m.-noon at the Pasquerilla Spiritual Center. According to the University, Paterno's casket, which will remain closed, will be flanked by two Penn State football players -- past and present -- in coach Paterno's honor and will rotate every 45 minutes.
