Steelerinbred: my apologies for not replying to this sooner. You are correct: the Steelers game was not on our original broadcast schedule (both the Steelers and Ravens were flexed to 4:15). You are also correct, I imagine, in the NFL's reasoning for the need of secondary markets. However, we have held a consistent approach at CBS 21 when it comes to this Steelers-Ravens situation. We feel it's necessary to alert fans of the Steelers when the NFL's secondary market rule is in effect (like this Sunday). We still find that many, many, many Steelers fans simply expect to find their team on TV on Sundays; for good reasons, by the way. It's a very, very difficult situation for everyone involved: Steelers fans; Ravens fans (who aren't able to see many of Baltimore's home game on our air ); and the folks at our station.

Stereotyping is one word, not two. Perhaps if you were busy studying basic 4th grade grammar instead of mating with your relatives and watching Steeler games, you would know this. Both the referees of the 2006 and 2009 Super Bowls (Bill Leavy and Terry McAuley) admitted large mistakes in officiating that aided the Steelers in their tainted Super Bowl wins. I'm sure your inbred Steeler DNA doesn't allow you to comprehend things like most others, but you'd have a hard time convincing anyone outside of Yinzerburgh that it was a coincidence. Thanks to the self-admitted cheating of their 1970s era "Steroid Steeler" teams and the blown calls in their two most recent "championships", the Steelers are still searching for their first legitimately-won Super Bowl. Everyone in the rest of the football word recognizes this, but Steeler fans are too busy banging their relatives, getting drunk all the time, and burning down their trailers to notice that no reputable football source gives them legitimate credit for any of their Super Bowl wins.

I find it amusing the obvious efforts you are making to placate the Steeler inbreds that infest Central PA. It's comical that you really need to offer an explanation why your station would televise the game of a team who is an hour away over a team that is four hours away. It's good that NFL rules are in fact in place to keep teams selling out to certain bandwagon-loaded, poor-educated fanbases like those of the Stoolers. It's pretty pathetic that you patronize the relative-mating Steeler fans by indicating that if you had the choice you would have televised their game. 90% of Steeler fans are not literate and even fewer couldn't figure out how to turn on a computer to save their life. This is really the quality of fan that you are attempting to attract? Cmon now. The Steeler game was NEVER due to be televised by WHP. Even if you look at the schedule posted on your website in the preseason, the Ravens game was always the feature game. Nothing changed, except in the mind of entitled Steeler fans who feel like the preference they get from the league's officials is not enough. Now they need an explanation why your station can't break widely-circulated, widely-know league broadcasting rules. Grow up.
