Harrisburg, PA - The Harrisburg Senators are pleased to announce that their third annual Hot Stove Dinner is scheduled for Saturday, January 26th. The dinner is once again at the Sheraton Harrisburg-Hershey Hotel. For the third year in a row, the dinner is supporting the Harrisburg Reviving Baseball in the Inner Cities (RBI) program.

The Senators have several special guests committed including the first manager to lead the modern Senators to an Eastern League title, Dave Trembley. Current Senators skipper, Matt LeCroy, is on the guest list along with the Nationals Director of Player Development, Doug Harris; former Senators starting pitcher Neil Weber; and the 2012 Eastern League All-Star Game Home Run Derby Champion Chris Rahl.

The evening begins with a cocktail hour at 6:00pm, followed by dinner at 7:00pm, and then the keynote speakers. Throughout the evening there will be a silent auction and, at the conclusion of the program, a raffle is taking place with the proceeds from both benefitting the RBI program.

The RBI program, started in 1989, is currently in over 200 cities worldwide, and has provided over 100,000 boys and girls the opportunity to play baseball and softball. Through 2009, MLB clubs have drafted over 170 RBI participants. The program is designed to increase participation and interest in baseball while encouraging academic participation and achievement. The program also promotes greater inclusion of minorities into the game and teaches the value of teamwork.

The dinner is $70 per person, or $650 for a table of ten. Tickets are available online through the Senators website at www.senatorsbaseball.com or by calling Emily Winslow at 231-4444 ext. 109. No tickets will be sold the day of the event. The deadline to purchase a ticket for this wonderful event is Wednesday, January 23rd.

The 2013 season and home opener is Thursday, April 4 at 7:00pm against the Bowie Baysox. The home opener includes a Jordan Zimmermann Bobblehead giveaway to the first 1,000 fans, a post-game fireworks show, it’s a Thirsty Thursday and the Senators are even giving away a kitchen sink! Season tickets, mini-plans, and group tickets are available by either going online at www.senatorsbaseball.com or by phoning the Senators at 717-231-4444. Tickets for the home opener are also currently available online or by phoning the Senators.
