"The Wizard" will be the featured guest at the Rotary Club of Hanover's annual Sports Night.
Walt "The Wizard" Williams, a former first round pick of the Sacramento Kings in the 1992 NBA draft, will attend the event on January 23 at the SAVES Social Hall in Hanover, beginning at 6:30 p.m.
Tickets are $30 adults and $20 for students. Sports Night honors local student-athletes for their achievements.
Williams played 11 seasons in the NBA. He was also a star at the University of Maryland and averaged a school-record 26.8 points per game in 1991-92. He also appeared in the 1996 film Eddie, starring Whoopi Goldberg.
Former Baltimore Colts defensive end Roy Hilton is also scheduled to appear. Hilton was a member of the Colts' 1970 NFL Championship Team which won Super Bowl V, 16-13 over the Dallas Cowboys.
Other special guests include: Steve Aird, former captain of Penn State's Men's volleyball team and current assistant coach of PSU's women's team; sprint car driver Logan Schuchart; and Mark Mason, the new manager of the York Revolution.
