Delone Catholic's Sierra Moore has been named to the 2012 McDonald’s All-American Girls Team.
Moore, a Duke recruit, will play for the East team in the 11th Annual Girls Game in Chicago, Ill. on March 28 at the United Center.
“For 35 years, the McDonald’s All American Games have showcased the best and the brightest high school stars nationwide and in 2012 the beat goes on,” said Douglas Freeland, director of the McDonald’s All American Games in a statement. “On March 28, fans have the chance to witness these elite players and get the first look at the world’s future basketball stars.”
Moore recently became the all-time leading scorer in the history of YAIAA girls' basketball.
Net proceeds from the game benefit Ronald McDonald House Charities, according to the organizers.
Penn State recruit Candice Agee, a 6'6" forward/center from Silverado, Ca., will play for the West squad.
