Former York Catholic basketball player Amanda Weaver is recovering from surgery for colon cancer. I've been told she's cancer-free; though she's had a few complications from surgery.
Weaver, 24, played collegiately at the University of Hartford.
On Saturday, October 13, York Unity Sports is putting on the Weaver Fever 3-on-3 basketball tournament at York College, to benefit the Weaver family and the American Cancer Society.
