Rain cancels racing at Williams Grove

MECHANICSBURG – Thunderstorms on Friday night canceled racing at Williams Grove Speedway.

The sprint cars were competing in a tune-up event for next week’s invasion by the World of Outlaws.

The track was able to complete time trials, however. Sam Hafertepe Jr., driver of the Zemco No. 1 sprint car, had the fastest time of the 34-car field at 17.027 seconds.
