Steel-High star Malia Tate-DeFreitas signs with Hampton

Malia Tate-DeFreitas, the reigning Class A state player of the year, signed her national letter-of-intent on Wednesday, joining a program that's won the last three Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Tournament championships and the last two regular-season conference titles.
