Bower twins help Elon beat College of Charleston at SoCon tourney

GREENVILLE, S.C. -- Twins Quinn and Blaine Bower, both graduates of Cedar Cliff High School, combined for three hits and five walks Thursday in Elon's 14-12 win over the College of Charleston at the SoCon Tournament.

Quinn Bower, Elon's lead-off hitter, finished 2-for-5 with a walk and scored three times. Blaine Bower, who bats second in the Phoenix line-up, walked four times and was 1-for-2 with two runs scored.

The Bowers are freshman at Elon (32-25).

The game featured a Southern Conference Tournament-record 39 hits and 26 runs scored.

The loss eliminated College of Charleston (37-20) from the tournament.
