LOWER PAXTON TOWNSHIP -- Jeremy Linn hasn't forgotten where it all started.

The two-time Olympic medalist returned home to Lower Paxton Township on Friday to help the local swimming community raise money for much-needed repairs and improvements to Devon Manor Pool, the pool Linn used a beginner.

Linn believes having a community pool is vital.

"Its a lot of fun; it gets people involved in the sport; and I think its invaluable for the community," said Linn, who won gold and silver at the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta. "This is my home."

He is now a coach at the Curl Burke Swim Club in northern Virginia.

Linn also spoke to hundreds of young swimmers from around the area; and signed autographs and posed for photos, as well. The Devon Manor swim club also dedicated a special brick in Linn's name at the Devon Manor's Walk of Sponsors.
