Chambersburg wrestling ready for postseason

CHAMBERSBURG -- The top wrestlers at Chambersburg were all rested and ready for the District 3 sectionals last week -- and it showed.

The Trojans will now have six wrestlers at this weekend's district tournament.

"I've been really looking forward to this since I got second at states," said junior Garrett Hammond prior to sectionals. Hammond won a sectional title at 145 lbs. for the second straight year.

Dawson Peck went 3-0 at sectionals in the heavyweight division; while Tanner Shoap claimed another sectional crown at 113 lbs.

"I'm probably more anxious than nervous," Shoap added last week, having not wrestled since the regular season ended.
