Its an easy thing to overlook when taking care of a loved one... Food born illness

Heather Tressler is a registered dietitian with Capital Blue Cross, she says as we age our bodies becomes less tolerant and our immune systems compromised. She says the first step in preventing food born illness is checking the expiration dates

She also recommends cooking to the proper temperature, separating cooked food from raw food and chilling at proper temps as well. She also says be careful not to cross contaminate when cleaning up...
