DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- Lebanon's Bobby Gerhart qualified third Friday for Saturday's Lucas Oil 200 at Daytona International Speedway.
Gerhart, an eight-time Daytona winner, qualified in his own No. 5 MAVTV American Real Chevrolet.
John Wes Townley won the poll, the first of his career. Townley circled the 2.5-mile super-speedway in 49.638 seconds, for an average speed of 181.313 mph.
Milka Duno, in the No. 35 Cantv-Milka Way Toyota, qualified a career-best second at 180.505 mph, sweeping the front row for Venturini Motorsports.
Darrell Wallace will start Saturday's race in the fourth position.
