Aaron Ott came of age Friday night at Williams Grove Speedway with a pulsating victory in the 25-lap sprint car feature, then came right back to win the URC-sanctioned Rislone 360 Nationals.

Ott started fourth and took the lead from Bob Bennett on the first lap of the first feature. Meanwhile Brian Montieth, who started 15th, was beginning his charge. Montieth was up to fourth by lap eight as Ott continued to pull away from the field. Montieth moved into third on lap eleven, and took the runner-up spot the next time around.

While Ott continued to set the pace, Montieth continued to close. On the final lap Montieth shot to the inside entering the third turn, wiped out a four-car length lead and slid in front of Ott exiting the fourth corner. Ott kept his composure and turned his car underneath Montieth setting up a drag race to the finish line. Ott powered by Montieth to win by inches.

It was the first career win for Ott, 17, of East Berlin, who will begin his senior year at Bermudian Springs High School later this year.

Montieth settled for second. Don Kreitz, Jr. came from tenth to finish third. Fred Rahmer who started 17th, finished fourth and Alan Krimes completed the top five.

In the 25-lap URC feature Ott started third, took the lead early and rolled to his second win in less than an hour to push his night's earnings to $7,250. Ott may be the first driver to ever win his first two races on the same night.

Montieth continued his passing display charging from 14th to finish second. Rahmer and J. J. Grasso completed the top five.

Logan Schuchart, 16, scored his first career sprint car win Friday night at Trail-Way Speedway. Schuchart is the grandson of racing star Bobby Allen.

Nicole Bower, who's family is better known for its bowling success, captured her first career 358 Sprint car win Saturday night at Port Royal Speedway. She is believed to be only the second female to win a race at Port Royal.
