PORT ROYAL -- Port Royal Speedway lost the 2012 Labor Day Classic for 410 sprints and ARDC Midgets Monday afternoon after waiting out persistent rain showers and drizzle for nearly five hours while attempting to prepare the surface.

The race was called at 2:45 pm.

Rainchecks will be issued by the speedway or tickets can be exchanged for this weekend's two-day Tuscarora 50 races at the track, which is part of the 158th annual Juniata County Fair at the track.
