MECHANICSBURG - Defending NASCAR champion Tony Stewart claimed the $4,000 URC Rislone Sprint Nationals Friday night at Williams Grove Speedway.
Stewart won for the first time ever at Williams Grove.
Stewart, who started the feature in 12th place, dominated the 25-lap URC main after passing Chad Trout on lap four. "The motor started breaking with six to go," Stewart said, according to the track's website.
"And when you're payin' the bills, you actually watch the gauges," he joked. "I like doin' what I'm doin' here with the sprint cars."
Aaron Ott finished second followed by Trout, Robbie Stillwaggon and Davie Franek.
Steve Buckwalter earned a victory in the Lawrence Chevrolet 410 sprint main, picking up up $250 in lap money on top of his $3,600 winner's share.
Buckwalter started on the pole of the 25-lap main and led all the way; although Doug Esh and Don Kreitz Jr. made attempts to steal his win. Kreitz Jr. wound up second. Esh finished third followed by Danny Dietrich and Brent Marks.
