CBS 21 News uncovers vintage video of Maynard Yingst, a successful sprint car driver from Linglestown. On March 30, 1986, CBS 21 ran a story on Yingst and his thoughts on racing.

Yingst reportedly left his racing career to accept a job as crew chief for drag racer Bruce Larson of Dauphin. Together they went on to win a national championship.

Yingst tragically suffered a brain aneurysm and collapsed in the pits at the NHRA Slick 50 Nationals at Houston Raceway Park in Chambers County, Texas, in 1993. He died at the age of 43.
