YORK -- The York Revolution was held to just four hits -- its lowest single-game total in five games this season -- in a 5-0 loss to Camden Tuesday at Sovereign Bank Stadium.

The game was the home opener for the two-time defending Atlantic League champions. Prior to the game, the club held a championship ring ceremony honoring last year’s team.

The Riversharks struck first on a Jake Eigsti bloop single with two outs in the second, and then plated three more in the third, taking an early 4-0 lead. Felix Pie ripped an RBI single up the middle and Eduardo Perez drove in two more on a double to left-center, providing the big hits in the frame.

York starter Corey Thurman (0-1) suffered the loss, charged with four runs in 2.1 innings. It snapped his personal 11-game winning streak head-to-head against the Riversharks, as he had not lost to Camden since his first start in a Revolution uniform in 2008.

Camden added one more in the sixth when Shea Harris drew a leadoff walk, advanced to second on a sacrifice bunt by Chris Walker, took third on a groundout, and scored on a wild pitch.

Andres Perez went 2-for-4 with a double, accounting for York’s lone multi-hit game.

The Revs have been shutout in back-to-back games for the third time in team history and first time since 2009. Their 23-inning scoreless streak is the longest in franchise history.
