UNIVERSITY PARK -- Brandon Rauhauser's base hit in the sixth inning helped West York defeat Lampeter-Strasburg 9-6 on Friday night and win its first-ever PIAA championship.

The Bulldogs' Kaden Hepler pitched a complete game. Prior to this season, West York hadn't even won a state playoff game.

Brandon Kinneman ripped a 2-run double in the second giving West York a 5-1 lead. Rauhauser stroked his base hit into left four innings later, making it 7-4 in favor of the Bulldogs.

Lampeter-Strasburg pulled with two in the third on a two-run double by Ray Lopez.
