Melissa Medalie joined the WHP news team in May of 2006 as a
reporter. She's excited to be living and working in
Pennsylvania after spending many years in New York.
Before coming to WHP, Melissa worked in Syracuse, NY. She
reported on everything from 15 feet snow falls to crime and
politics. During her time there she earned several
Associated Press awards for investigative journalism. Her
proudest assignment was breaking a story that lead police to
a rapist on the run.
Melissa has also worked as a tv and radio reporter and
anchor in Elmira, NY.
Melissa graduated summa cum laude from Syracuse University's
Newhouse School of Communication with degrees in broadcast
journalism and political science. She realizes she's in blue
and white territory now, but she still loves her orange!
When
she's not working, Melissa enjoys traveling to Florida to
see her family and hitting the links!
