Myranda Stephens joined WHP CBS 21 in September 2006 as a general assignment reporter. Prior to coming to WHP, Myranda was a reporter and anchor at WDBJ-TV in Roanoke, Virginia and KLEW-TV in Lewiston, Idaho. She even made history at KLEW-TV, becoming the station's first African-American on-air talent.
Born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio (go Browns!), Myranda is a graduate of Eastern Michigan University, where she earned a B.S. in Telecommunications & Film. She interned at WJBK-TV in Detroit, Michigan, and began her professional career in television as a news trainee at WDTN-TV in Dayton, Ohio.
On a personal note, Myranda enjoys working in the community. While in Virginia, she volunteered for the American Cancer Society's Discovery Shop -- an upscale resale store that benefits cancer research. She also partnered with her church in 2005 to launch a career-building conference for youth in southwest Virginia. The conference is now an annual event. Myranda is a member of the National Association of Black Journalists and Delta Sigma Theta Sorority.
In her spare time, she enjoys shopping, working out, and just hanging out with friends.
