Samica Knight is a Texas native she joined
the CBS 21 news team in July of 2008. Samica comes to
Central Pennsylvania from Waco Texas were she worked as a
general assignments reporter and fill-in anchor at the ABC
affiliate, KXXV-TV. During her stay in Waco, she covered
everything from President George W. Bush at his Crawford
Ranch to high profile courts-martial cases on Fort Hood, the
largest army post in the United States.
Samica began her career at KSAN the NBC affiliate in San
Angelo, Texas.
Samica graduated magna cum laude from The University of
Houston with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Broadcast
Journalism.
She's also a graduated of the U of H Program For Excellence
In Selling, the #1 sells training program in the country.
While still a student, Samica interned at KTRK, an ABC
affiliate.
Samica is an alumni of Houston's famed High School for The
Performing and Visual Arts. In her spare time she enjoys
singing, an art that has taken her to the stage of Carnegie
Hall and to the cities of Shenzen, Shanghai and Beijing,
China.
