Shannon
Davidson joined the CBS 21 news team as an anchor/reporter
in October of 2004. She started off on 21 News This Morning
- a perfect fit, considering she's always been a morning
person! "Getting up at 3am everyday was tough, but I loved
waking people up and helping them start their day."
Now you can catch Shannon's
reports on CBS 21 News at 5, 5:30, and 6pm.
Shannon grew up in a suburb of
Cleveland, OH, but she has Pennsylvania ties. "My mother
was born in Altoona, PA, and I remember visiting my
grandmother's relatives when I was little. I remember
thinking, 'How can anyone get around with all these steep
hills? Now that I'm here, I'm thankful my car's an
automatic.'"
Prior to Shannon's arrival,
she spent three years as an anchor/reporter at WAVE TV in
Louisville, KY. She enjoyed covering the Kentucky Derby,
and loved her assignment each year at Churchill Downs. "I
covered Millionaire's Row, where all the celebrities hang
out. Where else are you able to interview Ashton Kutcher,
Dennis Hopper, Larry King, and NSYNC all in one day?"
Her hard work paid off in
Louisville, when she was named one of the city's top five
reporters by Louisville Magazine readers.
Early in her broadcast career,
Shannon worked as an anchor/reporter at WEVV in
Evansville, IN and at WOAY in Oak Hill, WV. In her spare
time, Shannon enjoys reading, cooking, working out, and
spending time with friends and loved ones.
