Known to family and friends as the consummate "morning person", Sherry Christian is the natural choice for anchoring CBS 21 News This Morning.

Mrs. Christian joined WHP-TV in July of 2002. Before her employment with WHP, Mrs. Christian held positions at WWJ-TV, Detroit, WMAR-TV, Baltimore, WPDE-TV, Florence, South Carolina and WTXL-TV, Tallahassee.

Mrs. Christian says she was primed for a career in television news by her father's military career. Growing up she lived in many different cities including Manilla, Phillipines.

During her career in Television broadcasting, Mrs. Christian has earned numerous awards for reporting excellence and community service. She has served on the boards of many civic organizations including Goodwill Industries, Girl Scouts, March of Dimes and United Way. Mrs. Christian is also on the Board of Directors for the Harrisburg Area Autism Society.

Mrs. Christian also finds time to participate in professional organizations including the National Association of Black Journalists and National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences and is a member of the Greater Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Harrisburg.

An avid sports fan, Mrs. Christian enjoys watching Major League Baseball games, professional and college football and basketball. And she doesn't mind bragging about "playing a mean game of softball" herself. Other hobbies include public speaking, and photography.

Mrs. Christian holds a bachelors degree in Telecommunication from the University of Florida, Gainesville. Sherry lives in the Harrisburg area with her husband Jeremy and their three daughters.
