It is important to replace the batteries in your home smoke detector at least twice a year.
It is important to replace the batteries in your home smoke detector at least twice a year.
As we "Spring Forward" for daylight saving time, keep fire safety in mind!

While we will lose an hour of sleep on Saturday night into Sunday, we can gain a piece of mind, by checking and replacing the batteries in our home smoke detectors.

According to www.FireSafety.gov, 43-percent of home fire deaths occur in homes without working smoke alarms.

If you don't have a smoke detector in your home, check with your local fire department. Many fire departments provide and install smoke detectors free-of-charge.
