HARRISBURG -- The Big 33's Super Bowl streak is still alive.
Seven players in this year's Super Bowl once played in the prestigious high school all-star game, which now pits Pennsylvania against Ohio. There has never been a Super Bowl without a Big 33 alum on at least one of the participating teams.
The New York Giants have the following former Big 33 players: Chris Snee (PA-2000), Chase Blackburn (OH-2001), Mario Manningham (OH-2005), Da’Rel Scott (PA-2006), and Henry Hynoski (PA-2007).
Lousaka Polite (PA-1999), Brian Hoyer (OH-2004), Zoltan Mesko (OH-2005) are on the New England Patriots. New England's Dan Koppen (PA-1998) is currently on injured reserve.
The Big 33 also helps raise funds for academic scholarships and charitable activities. The 2012 game is June 16 at Hersheypark Stadium.
