HERSHEY -- Camp Hill's storybook season came to an end Friday in the District 3-A championship game.
The Lions, a team that finished 1-9 in 2010, lost to Columbia 36-20 at Hersheypark Stadium.
Senior Jake Bingham scored twice, including a 56-yard touchdown run in the third quarter that cut Columbia's lead to 22-13. His 19-yard touchdown run in the first quarter gave the Lions a 7-0 lead.
Columbia (7-5), which last won a district championship in 1995, was led by Seth Lefever, who scored three times. The Columbia offense rushed for 280 total yards -- 75 of which came on Lefever's long touchdown run in the third quarter that gave the Crimson Tide a 30-13 edge.
Camp Hill (7-5), under first-year head coach Frank Gay, was seeking its eighth district crown; the last coming in 2004.
