HARRISBURG -- Bishop McDevitt High School is ranked fifth in the country in the initial MaxPreps Medium School National Football Rankings.
The poll, which was released last Thursday, features schools with enrollment in the 1,000 to 2,000-student range.
McDevitt is now 8-0 after defeating Red Land High School on Saturday by a score of 44-21.
Bellevue (Wash.) is the top team in the rankings, which are based on the MaxPreps Freeman Computer Rankings, and holds the edge over Washington (Miami). Stephenville, the top team in Texas, is No. 3 while Edison (Huntington Beach, Calif.), California's top entry, comes in at No. 4.
