HERSHEY -- Boyd Kane scored two of Hershey's’ three power play goals in a 4-1 win over Wilkes-Barre/Scranton in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals on Friday night at GIANT Center.
The best-of-five series is now even, 2-2. Game 5 is Saturday night at Mohegan Sun Arena in Wilkes-Barre Township.
The Bears scored an important early goal when Zach Miskovic's shot deflected off of Cameron Schilling’s body into the goal at 17:26 for a 1-0 Hershey lead.
Kane flagged down the rebound of a Chris Bourque in the second to give the Bears a 2-0 advantage. Kane’s second power play goal of the night came at 10:07 of the third; he positioned himself in front of a Ryan Potulny slap shot from center point and tipped the puck behind Penguins goalie Brad Thiessen.
Bourque finished the scoring by hitting an empty net goal with 34 seconds remaining.
