HERSHEY -- Some former Hershey Bears are coming back to town for a little outdoor hockey at Hersheypark Stadium.
The Bears announced today a special Alumni Game on January 19 as part of the 2013 Capital BlueCross AHL Outdoor Classic.
Ralph Keller, Mike Nykoluk, Willie Marshall, and Tim Tookey are among the Hershey legends slated to appear. The Bears alumni will face off against alumni from the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins.
Goaltenders Frederic Cassivi, Marc D’Amour, Dave Parro; defensemen Jeff Chychrun, Dave Fenyves, Mike Gaul; forwards Don Biggs, Brian Dobbin, Lou Franceschetti, Mark Lofthouse, Christian Matte, Louis Robitaille, and Tookey are scheduled to play in the game.
“As we continue to work toward making the Outdoor Classic a reality, we are thrilled to welcome back some of the most famous players in Hershey Bears history for a special Alumni Game,” Bears president Doug Yingst said in a statement. “This will be another exciting event for our fans, young and old, to enjoy and remember for a long time to come.”
Players from the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins expected to participate include Dennis Bonvie, Greg Crozier, Jonathan Filewich, Casey Harris, Chris Kelleher, Jim Leger, Peter Ratchuk and Andy Schneider.
More players will be announced at a later date.
