CHARLOTTE, NC -- Ryan Potulny provided two goals and an assist to power the Hershey Bears to a 4-3 victory over the Charlotte Checkers on Thursday night at Time Warner Cable Arena.

Keith Aucoin added three more assists, extending his point streak to 13 games, now the longest streak this season in the AHL. With the win, the Bears extend their East Division lead to eight points, and move to 23-8-4-3 (53 points) for the top point total in the American Hockey League.

Down by a goal in the third, Hershey earned a man-advantage opportunity and took only eight seconds to tie the game; as Jacob Micflikier took a centering pass from Aucoin to tie the game 2-2. Just 53 seconds later, Potulny gave the Bears a 3-2 lead.

Boyd Kane provided the Bears with an insurance goal by roofing a shot over goalie Mike Murphy.

Some information used in this story was provided by the Hershey Bears.
