ARLINGTON, Va. – The Washington Capitals have recalled goaltender Dany Sabourin, defenseman Sean Collins and forward Cody Eakin from Hershey.
Sabourin and Eakin will participate in practice today at Kettler Capitals Iceplex at 11 a.m.
Sabourin, 31, went 18-12-5 with a 2.76 goals-against average and a .909 save percentage in 37 games with Hershey this season. He posted a 3-2 record with a 3.19 goals-against average and a .882 save percentage in the Calder Cup playoffs.
Collins, 28, played in 65 games for Hershey this season, registering two goals, eight assists and 45 penalty minutes. He posted four penalty minutes in five Calder Cup playoff games.
Eakin, 20, collected eight points (four goals, four assists) and a plus-two rating in 29 NHL games this season. He made his NHL debut on Nov. 1 vs. Anaheim and recorded his first NHL point (an assist) and scored his first NHL goal on Nov. 4 at Carolina.
