HBO's 24/7 showed a slice of what life is like for the Boudreau family.

But CBS 21 News has another part of family life -- from a story that aired on March 25, 2008.

Crystal Boudreau may watch more hockey than some pro scouts. But the workout she was watching at Twin Ponds East in Dauphin County, was no NHL practice. The players are shorter. The skates are smaller. And the puck moves a little bit slower.

She was watching Brady Boudreau, her son, who was 9 1/2 years old at the time, playing for the Hershey Junior Bears. While Bruce was in Washington, coaching the Caps, the other part of the family was still spending a lot of time in our area.

"The schedule is a little tough," said Crystal. "You're like, 'Where am I?' and 'What am I doing?'"

And Brady had a third home -- between the pipes, as the Junior Bears' goalie. And he was loving his father's -- at the time, new -- job. "He gets to go to a NHL arena and meet a lot of good players," he said.
