CAMP HILL -- The Lions had a lot to roar about on Thursday.
Camp Hill had twelve student-athletes announce their college choices during a special ceremony at the high school. The Class of 2012 will compete next year at the Division I, II and III levels in sports like soccer, football, track & field, and swimming.
“This exceptional class of athletes has had collective success and extraordinary accomplishments over the past four years,” said High School Principal Scott Shelley in a statement.
The Class of 2012 includes:
Logan Akers, Indiana University of PA, Division II -- Field Hockey
Jake Bingham, Albright College, Division III -- Football
Joe Gallagher, Lebanon Valley College, Division III -- Soccer
Julia Gartman, Houghton College, Division III -- Soccer
Zach Kronicz, Ursinus College, Division III -- Football
Marci Merlina, Clarion University, Division II -- Cheerleading
Jen Mermelstein, Muhlenberg College, Division III -- Soccer
Ivona Mikulic, St. Francis University, Division I -- Track & Field
Jana Powars, Penn State University - Altoona Campus, Division III -- Soccer
Carly Schaefer, Messiah College, Division III -- Soccer
Megan Ross, University of Mount Union, Division III -- Swimming
Steve Murray, Washington & Jefferson University, Division III -- Wrestling
