CAMP HILL -- Only a special talent could not play a down of high school football this season and still be named an All-America.
Cedar Cliff senior Adam Breneman was presented with an honorary game jersey Thursday at Cedar Cliff High School commemorating his selection to the 2013 Under Armour All-America Game presented by American Family Insurance.
Breneman, a Penn State recruit, cannot play in the game due to a knee injury.
"Being an Under Armour All-America has been a dream of mine since I started playing football, just being an All-America in general," said Breneman. "Not being able to play in the game is a bummer."
The sixth-annual Under Armour All-America Game will be played on Jan. 4, 2013, at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Fla. The game will be televised on ESPN.
Cedar Cliff head coach Jim Cantafio was also selected to coach at the event.
"When you watch these big time all-star games on television, nationally-televised; when I got the phone call to coach in the Under Armour All-America game, it didn't take me very long (to give them) a big, 'Yes!'" said Cantafio.
Thursday's announcement was part of a three-month nationwide selection tour.
Bishop McDevitt's Noah Spence, now at Ohio State, played in last year's game.
