SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Eric Groff, playing for Arizona's Midwest League farm team, went 2-for-4 with a home run Monday in South Bend's 10-2 win over Fort Wayne.

Groff graduated from Northern Lebanon High School.

His three-run home run came in the third inning off Fort Wayne starter Ruben Mejia, his first with the Silver Hawks. Groff hit six home runs earlier this season for Visalia of the California League.

He later doubled and is batting .231 in 18 games with South Bend.

Lancaster Catholic product Travis Jankowski, the San Diego Padres' first round supplemental pick in June, was 1-for-4 with a double for Fort Wayne.
