SUSQUEHANNA TOWNSHIP -- Katie Moosic was 3-for-3 and tossed a one-hit shutout in Harrisburg's 12-2 triumph over Pittsburgh at the Reviving Baseball in Inner Cities (RBI) Mid-Atlantic Regional softball tournament in Susquehanna Township.

Harrisburg, which advanced to last year's RBI World Series in Minnesota, is 2-0 after day one of the tournament.

Taylor Weisman's triple in the third inning scored Vanessa Hoffman, giving Harrisburg a 12-2 lead. Weisman later scored on a throwing error by the catcher.

RBI is the Major League Baseball initiative designed to provide under-served youth with the opportunity to play baseball and softball, encourage academic success and teach the value of teamwork.

The Harrisburg RBI baseball team held a 5-2 lead in the seventh inning over Reading RBI when the game was suspended due to bad weather. The game will resume Saturday morning at 9 a.m.
