GETTYSBURG -- Johns Hopkins outscored Gettysburg College 26-8 in the first half and beat the Bullets 57-45 on Wednesday night -- ruining George Petrie's first attempt at becoming the school's all-time leader in wins.

The Bullets (9-11, 6-7 CC) were shut out over the final 14:25 of the first half, when Johns Hopkins (11-9, 7-6 CC) closed the period on a 22-0 run. Tim McCarty had 15 for the Blue Jays, while George Bugarinovic added 14.

Petrie, who's in his 23rd season, currently has 321 career wins at Gettysburg, tied with Hen Bream for the most in school history. Bream coached at Gettysburg College from 1927-55.

Derek Brooks led the Bullets with 11 points.
