HARRISBURG -- Former Bishop McDevitt running back Jameel Poteat has indicated on Twitter that he'll transfer from the University of Cincinnati and play football elsewhere.

Poteat, a sophomore, gained 119 yards in 11 games this season with one touchdown.

He was rated by MaxPreps.com as the sixth-best tailback prospect in the nation as a high school senior. He helped lead the Crusaders to the 2010 PIAA-AAA Championship and finished his career at McDevitt as the school's all-time leader with 84 total touchdowns.

Poteat played in ten games as a freshman at Cincinnati.
