UNIVERSITY PARK -- Defensive tackle Jordan Hill appears to be one of the big winners from Penn State's annual Pro Day.

Hill, a graduate of Steel-High, posted better numbers Monday in measurable drills than he did just two weeks ago at the NFL Combine in Indianapolis, Ind.

The senior ran a 4.97 in the 40-yard dash, an improvement over the 5.23 he posted at the Combine.

He also made huge jumps in the broad jump and vertical leap. His broad jump was 9'3" (compared to 8'7" at the Combine) and he improved his vertical from 22.5" to 30," according to Hill's trainer Ryan Mackes of Gold's Gym Linglestown.

"I think I really did well, especially in the d-line drills," said Hill in an interview with CBS station WTAJ-TV. "A lot of the stuff doesn't translate to football conditioning. Running a 40(-yard dash); your broad jump; stuff like that.

"How many times have you seen me jump in a game?" joked Hill.

Representatives from 23 NFL teams reportedly attended Penn State's Pro Day at Holuba Hall. Fourteen players participated, including Hill.

Linebacker Michael Mauti did not perform drills as he continues to rehab from knee surgery.
