HARRISBURG -- The Baltimore Ravens have signed rookie free agent tight end Matt Balasavage, a graduate of Lancaster Catholic and Temple.

The 6'4" Balasavage had attended Baltimore's rookie mini camp on a tryout basis. The Ravens announced the signing on Tuesday.

He was primarily a blocking tight end at Temple, catching just one pass last season for eight yards.

Balasavage was twice named first-team all-state for the Crusaders by both The Associated Press and Pennsylvania Football News.
