CLEARWATER, Fla. (AP) - Roy Halladay is still looking for the one thing he came to the Philadelphia Phillies to get: A World Series ring.

Halladay has thrown a perfect game, tossed a no-hitter in his first career postseason start, won a National League Cy Young Award and is 51-22 in his three seasons with the Phillies. But he hasn't added that elusive championship.

This week, as pitchers and catchers reported for duty, Halladay began the quest of chasing that down. It won't be easy. After all, he is coming off an injury-plagued year in which he had his fewest wins (11) since 2004 and the second-worst ERA (4.49) in his career. He missed nearly two months in the middle of the season because of a shoulder problem and never found his groove.

The Phillies open the Grapefruit League season Feb. 23 vs. Houston.

SI: Do athletics still have too much power at Penn State?
At a time when safety in football has never been more scrutinized, changes in Penn State University’s once-exemplary medical care, just 18 months after the biggest scandal in college sports history, contradicts recent promises by the school to reign in the athletic department and operate transparently, according to a special report in this week’s SPORTS ILLUSTRATED by senior writer David Epstein.
