Stampede QB Nemeth tallies 6 TD in 56-25 win over Eagles

HARRISBURG -- Quarterback E.J. Nemeth threw for three touchdown passes and ran for three more in the Harrisburg Stampede's season-opening 56-25 win over the Washington Eagles on Saturday at the PA Farm Show.

Nemeth, the 2012 American Indoor Football Offensive Player of the Year, scored on runs of 1, 3, and 11 yards, respectively, as Harrisburg built a 40-7 halftime lead. Nemeth also tossed two touchdowns to new wide receiver Prentice Quince.

Nemeth was 10-of-18 for 107 yards. Quince caught 5 balls for 40 yards. Jermaine Thaxton intercepted two passes for Harrisburg (1-0).

The announced attendance was 1704.

Quarterback Kareem Dennis was 12-of-35 for 187 yards and four scores for Washington (0-1).
