High school hoops: Steel-High girls begin season with win

HARRISBURG -- Steelton-Highspire, the defending PIAA-A state champions, started the 2011-12 season with a 65-58 triumph over Palmyra Friday at Northern Lebanon's tournament. Malia Tate-DiFreitas led all scorers with 29 points. The Rollers' opening quarter outburst was the difference; Steel-High led 22-11 after the first period.
