BINGHAMTON -- Prized Mets prospect Zack Wheeler fanned a season-high 11 Tuesday in Binghamton's 3-2 victory over Harrisburg at NYSEG Stadium.
Wheeler improved to 10-6, allowing two earned runs on four hits in 6.2 innings of work. He walked four.
Danny Rosenbaum (7-8) started for the Senators and was the loser, despite looking like the pitcher that dominated the Eastern League for the first two months of the season. He went six innings and allowed just two earned runs on six hits.
In the sixth, Binghamton took a 3-2 lead when Wilmer Flores scored on a two-out error.
The Senators struck out a season-high 17 times in the game and dropped their fifth straight game to fall to 52-58.
Zach Walters and Tim Pahuta both had two hits for Harrisburg.
