Roy Rager was definitely one of the good guys. He and his brother Bill were coaching when my boys played midget ball for another team in the league, and my boys are now 39 and 34 years old. I was fortunate enough to coach the Panther cheerleaders for many years, and the Ragers always made me feel welcomed...how many football coaches even pay any attention to the cheerleaders??! Great organizations exist because of great people, and Roy and his brother Bill are two primary reasons why the Myerstown Panthers Football organization has enjoyed so much success over these many years. Every Sunday afternoon, you just know Roy has the best seat in the house to watch over his beloved Panthers fighting for the win! Rest in peace,Roy...you are greatly missed and always remembered.
