Hospital beds are not only used in hospitals. You can get a hospital-type bed for use in your home. These beds make it possible for you to adjust the shape of the mattress as well as the height of the bed. Some medical supply stores offer beds to sell or rent. In many cases, insurance companies will cover the cost of a bed. Some stores will even file your insurance claims for you. Free delivery and setup might also be an option. There are many types of hospital beds available from local medical supply stores. A manual bed has three cranks at the foot to change positions for the knees or the head as well as adjusting the height of the bed. The semi-electric bed is a full three-position bed that also allows you to adjust bed positions for the head and the knee and makes it possible to change the height of the bed. The head and the knee features are adjustable using the electrical hand control; the bed has a hand crank at the foot of the bed that adjusts the bed up and down. A full electric bed allows you to adjust all features of the bed using the hand control. For more information on hospital beds, consult a medical supply store in your area.
